3.5.6 Configuration Principles for the CPRI Ports on the RFU in the
GSM+LTE Base Station
When a base station works in GSM+LTE mode, the RFUs in the cabinet are the MRFUs, and
the boards configured in the BBU are the GTMU, UBRI, LMPT, and LBBP.
Basic CPRI Port Connection Principles
l The MRFUs can work in the dual-star topology rather than chain topology.
l When the MRFU works in the dual-star topology, the signals in the same mode cannot be
transmitted over two CPRI links.
l MRFUs cannot be connected to RRUs.
Figure 3-30 shows the CPRI port connection principles for the MRFUs working in GSM+LTE
mode.
