The common subsystem is composed of the TMU, the PSU, and the PMU.

It performs the following functions:

Managing and controlling other subsystems and modules

Collecting alarm information

Providing multiple basic clocks for other subsystems and modules

Communicating with the O&M system

Processing signaling and managing resources

Supplying power and monitoring and managing power

Providing multiple built-in transmission ports
