Parameter
Description
Sensitivity
Set this parameter based on the length of the 4E1/E1 line used between
the terminal and the nearest network node, such as a switch. Rules for
setting this parameter:
l
If the distance between the terminal and the nearest network node is
longer than 100 m, select
Long line
.
l
If the distance between the terminal and the nearest network node is
shorter than 100 m, select either
Long line
or
Short line
.
Long
line
is recommended.
Clock mode
The following clock modes are available:
l
Preferred clock
: If this option is selected, the terminal uses the
internal clock and provides the clock to the remote device that is
connected to the E1 interface of the terminal. In a point-to-point call,
Clock mode
of either terminal must be set to
Preferred clock
.
l
Alternate clock 1
,
Alternate clock 2
,
Alternate clock 3
, and
Alternate clock 4
: If one of these options is selected, the terminal
obtains the clock from a line.
The rule for setting this parameter is as follows:
l
If the terminal is connected to an MCU, set the MCU clock as the
master clock and the terminal clock as the slave clock.
l
If the terminal is connected to another terminal, set the clock mode
of one terminal to the master clock and the clock mode of the other
terminal to the slave clock.
Account
Password
These are the account and password used by the terminal when the
terminal initiates an H.320 conference. For detailed information of the
conference account and password, contact the administrator of the
videoconferencing system.
Step 2
Save the settings.

2.7 Configuring the 3G Network
3G network parameters must be set to hold video conferences over the 3G network.
2.7.1 Setting 3G Parameters
To use the terminal for video communications over a 3G network, set the 3G parameters of the
terminal. For example, specify whether to enable the 3G network, the mode for obtaining IP
addresses from the 3G network, the authentication mode of the 3G network, and the mode for
establishing a dial-up 3G connection.
Prerequisites
Ensure that the terminal license supports 3G networks. For details about how to check whether
the terminal license supports 3G networks, see section
