5.7 Joining an HD-Video Conference over an IMS Network

The terminal can join an HD video conference over an IMS network.

Context

Borne by the standard IP protocol, IMS uses VoIP applications based on the standard SIP
applications of the 3GPP to provide fixed and mobile multimedia services for operators.
Integrating MCUs can enhance the functionality of the Huawei IMS HD videoconferencing
solution.

Procedure

Step 1

Register the terminal with the network where the IMS is located. For details, see section 

2.5.4

Setting SIP Parameters

Step 2

Call the conference ID allocated by the IMS. For details, see 

5.6 Joining an Authentication

Conference

Step 3

Enter the password as prompted.

NOTE

Terminal users can obtain the conference ID and password allocated by the IMS from emails, text messages,
notices, or other methods.

After the IMS authenticates the password, the terminal can join an HD video conference over
