Sharing your mobile data connection by
USB tethering
No Internet connection available for your computer? No problem. Use the data
connection of Desire U dual sim to connect to the Internet.

Make sure your SIM card is inserted on Desire U dual sim.
§
Install HTC Sync Manager on your computer first.
§
You may need to have USB tethering added to your data plan, and it may incur
additional cost. Contact your mobile service provider for details.
1.
On Desire U dual sim, turn on
Mobile network
in the settings.
2.
Connect Desire U dual sim to your computer using the provided USB cable.
3.
On the Choose a connection type screen, tap
USB tethering
.
Connecting to the Internet through a
computer
If you temporarily don’t have Internet access, you can still go online by using your
computer’s Internet connection.
Install HTC Sync Manager on your computer first.
1.
Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
Two things to check for your computer’s Internet connection. One, you may need
to turn off your local network’s firewall. Two, if your computer connects to the
Internet via PPP (e.g. Dial UP, xDSL, or VPN), Internet Pass-through will only
support TCP protocol.
2.
Connect Desire U dual sim to the computer using the provided USB cable.
3.
When prompted to select a connection type, select
Internet pass-through
