Hardware options installation 62
Installing the 700mm mini-SAS cable
1.
If installed, remove the rack bezel (on page 59 ).
2.
Power down the server (on page 17 ).
3.
Remove all power:
a.
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4.
Extend the server from the rack (on page 17 ).
5.
Remove the access panel (on page 19 ).
6.
Remove the processor air baffle (on page 19 ).
7.
Install a P222 Smart Array Controller.
8.
Connect the mini-SAS cable from the Smart Array Controller to the drive backplane.
9.
Install the processor air baffle (on page 20 ).
10.
Install the access panel (on page 19 ).
11.
Slide the server into the rack.
12.
Connect each power cord to the server.
13.
Connect each power cord to the power source.
14.
Power up the server (on page 17 ).
15.
If removed, install the rack bezel (on page 60 ).
HP Trusted Platform Module option
Use these instructions to install and enable a TPM on a supported server. This procedure includes three
sections:

Installing the Trusted Platform Module board.
2.
Retaining the recovery key/password (on page 65 ).
3.
Enabling the Trusted Platform Module (on page 65 ).
