Remove the battery.
IMPORTANT: Replacing the system board battery resets the system ROM to its default
configuration. After replacing the battery, reconfigure the system through RBSU.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
System board
To remove the component:
1.
Power down the server blade (on page 24 ).
2.
Remove the server blade (on page 24 ).
3.
Remove the access panel (" Access panel " on page 25 ).
4.
Remove all hard drive blanks (" Hard drive blank " on page 26 ).
5.
Remove the cache module battery pack (" Cache module battery pack " on page 32 ), if installed.
6.
Remove all hard drives:
o
Hot-plug SAS drive (" Hard drive " on page 26 ).
o
Solid state drive (on page 27 ).
7.
Remove the SAS controller (" SAS controller " on page 30 ), if installed.
8.
Remove the front panel/hard drive cage assembly (" Front panel/hard drive cage assembly " on
page 34 ).
9.
Remove the DIMM baffles (" DIMM baffle " on page 28 ).
10.
Remove all DIMMs (" DIMM " on page 28 ).
11.
Remove any installed mezzanine cards (" Mezzanine card " on page 29 ).
12.
Remove the heatsink (" Heatsink " on page 36 ).
