Basic Settings for an Residential Gateway
If you want to connect to a home network using an Access Point, use the Add/Edit
Configuration Profile window to:
• Connect to an Access Point
• Set the Network Name and Encryption Key.
To connect to a Wireless LAN Access Point:
1 In the Network Name field, enter the 6-character ID code to define the name of the
wireless network that you want to connect to.
NOTE
The 6-character ID code is unique and can be found on the back of the Wireless LAN
Access Point by removing the rear cover. Refer to the Wireless LAN Access Point
Installation Guide for full instruction on obtaining the ID code.
2 In the Encryption Key field, enter the last 5 digits of the ID code. If you have changed
the Encryption Key on the Access Point, you must enter the new value as well.
3 Click OK to confirm and return to the Add/Edit Configuration Profile window.
4 Click OK again to proceed with the installation .
