Remove the fingerprint reader board from the computer (4).

Reverse this procedure to install the fingerprint reader board.

Touchpad

To remove the touchpad, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the touchpad, follow these steps:

1.

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

).

2.

Remove the bottom cover (

Bottom cover on page 33

).

3.

Remove the battery (see 

Battery on page 43

).

Remove the touchpad:

1.

Disconnect the system board cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (1).

2.

Disconnect the middle cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (2).

3.

Disconnect the touchpad button board cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (3).

4.

Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the system board (4).

5.

Remove the four Phillips M1.6 × 1.8 screws (5) that secure the touchpad to the computer.
