Setting the host SCSI ID
This configuration menu item sets the host SCSI ID used by the NonStop server to select the tape
drive. Enter a value (0 to 15) using the Numeric Entry Method. No two devices can have the same
SCSI ID on the host bus. For available SCSI Ids consult your system administrator.
Note
: The ability to independently set the tape drive SCSI ID and the NonStop server SCSI ID is very
useful. The tape drive ID can be altered from tape drive front panel without regard to the actual
physical SCSI ID of the drive itself, making SCSI device additions quick and simple.
