Observe the entire chassis for at least 25 minutes. Check to see if all of the servers within the
chassis reboot at the same time at some point within the 25 minute window.If not, proceed as
follows.

If power cycling the chassis does not resolve the problem, power down and remove one of the
operational servers from the chassis. Install the operational server in the slot (or slots) that are not
powering on properly.

If the known good server powers on, then power down and remove the operational server. Install it in
the original slot. Then, install the original (non-working) server back in the failing slot. If it still does
not power up, remove the tray and remove the CMOS battery for at least 20 minutes to clear out the
system NVRAM, then install the battery and install the server. Depending on the server installed,
there can be more than one battery. If this does not work, replace the tray system board.
5.
If the known good tray does not power up in the failing slots, replace the management module with a
known good management module (spare part number is 738747-001).
