Center Mounting in a 2-Column Rack
Mounting Kit
Before mounting your server in a 2-column rack, inspect the mounting kit hardware. Review the installation
procedure and determine which screws will be required. (Alternate screws are provided due to the variations
in rack column mounting threads.) Verify that all needed parts are available. (A mounting kit parts list is
provided at the rear of this manual.)
Installation Procedure – Center Mount
Center-mount a server in a 2-column rack as follows:
Step 1.
Install the tray (base) to the front of the rack columns, at the desired mounting position. Attach the
tray to the rack columns with T25 10-32 or 12-24 panhead screws, lockwashers, and #12
flatwashers.
