Local user configuration items
Item Description
User Name
Enter a username. A username is case sensitive, and cannot contain any of these
characters: “/”, “\”, “:”, “|”, “*”, “?”, “<”, “>”, “@” and “"”.
IMPORTANT:
A username may contain spaces. However, leading spaces and trailing spaces are
always ignored. An all-space input is considered null.
User Privilege Level
Set the user privilege level of the user.
Service Type
Set the service type that the user can use, including FTP, SSH, Telnet, Terminal and PPP.
IMPORTANT:
For a user to log in to the Firewall through the web interface, you must select the service
type Telnet for the user.
Password
Set the password
Confirm Password
Reset the password, which must be the same with the previously set password.
