The
optical
channel
calibration
accurac
y
is
heavily
dependent
on
the
accurac
y
to
which
you
know
the
optical
source
power
.
F
or
best
results,
measure
the
optical
source
power
with
an
optical
power
meter
such
as
the
HP
8153A
and
use
precision
optical
connectors.
In
addition,
proper
connector
cleaning
procedures
are
essential
to
obtaining
an
accurate
calibration.
