3. Complete these steps first for the drive on the left side of the unit and then for the
tape drive on the right:
a. Connect one end of the SCSI cable to the corresponding SCSI port at the rear
of the tape drive. For the location, see
and
.
b. Hand tighten the screws to secure the cable to the unit.
c.
Connect the opposite end of the SCSI cable to the NonStop S-series server.
The tape drive can connect to the
ServerNet/DA
,
IOMF2 CRU, or PMF
CRU
on the NonStop S-series server.
You can use any of the SCSI cables listed in
.
Note.
The tape drive’s SCSI IDs come preconfigured to SCSI ID 5. If you need to change
the SCSI IDs, use a screwdriver. Do not use a lead pencil.
