Identifying physical IRF ports on the member switches
Identify the physical IRF ports on the member switches according to your topology and connection
scheme.
All network ports can be used for IRF connection. As a best practice, use Gigabit SFP ports and HPE
3600 Switch SFP Stacking Kit cables for IRF connection.
Planning the cabling scheme
You can use the GE twisted pair cables, SFP transceiver modules and optical fibers, or SFP Stacking
Kit cables to connect the 5120 SI switches for IRF connections. As a best practice, use Gigabit SFP
ports and HPE 3600 Switch SFP Stacking Kit cables for IRF connection.
