NOTE:
The touchpad spare part kit does not include the cable. The cable is available as spare part
number L63602-001.
Before removing the touchpad, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (
Preparation for disassembly on page 27
).
2.
Remove the bottom cover (see
).
3.
Remove the battery (see
Remove the touchpad:
1.
Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (1).
2.
Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screws (2) that secure the touchpad bracket to the computer, and
then remove the bracket (3).
3.
Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (4) that secure the touchpad to the computer, and then
remove the touchpad (5).
Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad.
