Setting the clock
• Press the ADJ key (7) to switch between 12 h and 24 h-display.
• Press the SET key (6) for 2s, until the hours display blinks in the clock dis-

play. 

• Use the ADJ (7) button to set the hour.
• Press the SET button (6) again, the minutes display flashes.
• Use the ADJ (7) button to set the minutes.
• Press the SET key (6) again to complete the setting. 

Alarm function
• Press the MODE key (5), until you enter the alarm mode (alarm clock symbol in the clock dis-

play (1)).

• Press the SET key (6) for 2s, until the hours display blinks in the clock display. 
• Use the ADJ (7) button to set the hour.
• Press the SET button (6) again, the minutes display flashes.
• Use the ADJ (7) button to set the minutes.
• Press the SET key (6) again to complete the setting. 
• Press the key ADJ (7) to switch the alarm function on or off. When the alarm function is acti-

vated, an alarm symbol appears between the hour and minute display. 

Thermometer function
• Press the MODE button (5), to enter the thermometer mode.
• Press the ADJ key (7) to select °C or °F display.

Since the device warms up during operation, the temperature display, of course, can
only display exact values if no alcohol readings have been taken just before measu-
ring the temperature. 
Further, holding the device in your hands may affect the displayed temperature. 

Countdown Timer
• Press the MODE button (5), to enter the countdown mode.
• Press the SET key (6) for 2s, until the hours display blinks in the clock display. 
• Use the ADJ (7) button to set the hour.
• Press the SET button (6) again, the minutes display flashes.
• Use the ADJ (7) button to set the minutes.
• Press the SET key (6) again to complete the setting. 
• Press the ADJ key (7) to start or stop the countdown.
• When the preset time is up, a signal sounds. 

Reset

• Press the RESET button (9) with a pointed object, to reset

the clock to the factory settings. 

Attaching the wrist strap

• The wrist strap enclosed can be fastened to the alcohol

tester by the thinner end, as shown in the picture. 

Maintenance and Care

Apart from replacing the batteries, the alcohol tester is maintenance-free.
Only clean it with a slightly moistened cloth.  Never use cleaning agents as these can damage
the surface of the casing. 
Ensure that no liquids enter the mouthpiece (4).
Do not store the alcohol tester in rooms with polluted air. 

Disposal

Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.

Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechar-
geable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!

Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these
symbols to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The
symbols for dangerous heavy metal constituents are: Cd = Cadmium,
Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. You can return your used batteries/recharge-
able batteries free of charge to the official collection points in your muni-
cipality, in our stores, or anywhere where batteries or rechargeable bat-
teries are sold.

You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environ-
ment.

We grant a two year guarantee for this device. Guarantee includes repair of all defects that were not 

caused by defective material or fabrication mistakes. Guarantee does not apply on wearing parts (for 

example illuminants). Since HP-Autozubehör has no influence on correct and appropriate assemblage and 

operation it is obvious that guarantee applies only on completeness and proper condition. HP-Autozubehör 

takes on neither liability nor guarantee for damages or consequential damages in connection with this 

product. This applies especially when the device was altered or repaired, when circuits were changed or 

non-original spare parts were used or when damage was caused by false or negligent operation or abuse.
