Precautions
Caution
A new heater smokes when first use, but
this is not a trouble. The smoke will stop
thereafter.

Before replacing the heater, switch off and
allow to cool.
Replacing heater
Unscrew the handle set screw and slide the handle
back.

Loosen the nuts which connects the power cords with
the lead wires of the heater, and
reassemble
them.

Unscrew the tip set screw and the heater set screw
to remove the tip and the heater.

The heater leads and
the power cords must be
set on the opposite
surface of the terminal.
Completion
Reset the new heater and assemble the soldering
iron as it was before.
