SERVICE INFORMATION
This product has been manufactured using only the very finest of materials and has been
thoroughly inspected prior to leaving our manufacturing facility.
Before pursuing service, ensure that all instructions provided with your Howard Miller
product have been carefully followed. These instructions will provide detailed information to
answer most questions. Contact the Howard Miller web site (www.howardmiller.com) for a
list of frequently asked questions that may conveniently resolve your problem or answer your
questions.
In the unlikely event that your cabinet appears to need service, in NORTH AMERICA please call
one of our Customer Service Representatives at (616) 772-7277 (extension #386). OUTSIDE
NORTH AMERICA please call your distributor or agent.
Before calling, please have the following information available. The model number and serial
number can be found on the Product Information Label, which is typically found on the
backside of the cabinet.

Please have these instructions and the sales receipt or other comparable proof of original
purchase available at the time of your call. Most problems can be quickly resolved without
returning the cabinet for service.
Return Authorization is required for all returns to Howard Miller. If you have been given
authorization to return the product to Howard Miller, you will be provided with a Return
Authorization number (RGA#). Please include this Return Authorization number, above your
name, on the address label. Also include a
copy
(original receipts should never be submitted
as they can not be returned) of the sales receipt or other comparable proof of original
purchase. Returns without prior authorization or proof of purchase may be subject to
additional charges and delays.
FREIGHT DAMAGE
It is the responsibility of the consignee to claim any freight loss or damage directly
with the carrier. If the carton indicates signs of "visible damage", instruct the driver to
note the damage on the freight bill. If the carton contains "concealed damage", notify
the carrier and request in writing within 14 days of product receipt a carrier
inspection and damage report. Failure to notify the carrier within 14 days of product
receipt may waive your rights to a damage claim.

5. Move the cabinet to its final location and position against a wall.
Safety Strap: Some cabinets include a safety strap. If so, review the instructions
included with the Safety Strap at this time and choose the assembly option which best
fits your application. These cabinets should be attached to the wall for maximum
stability. If your cabinet does not have this feature, proceed to the next step.
6. Install the Glass Shelves.
a) Securely place the shelf supports into the desired holes inside the cabinet. (Figure 8 & 9)
There are several holes that can be used for shelf height adjustment.
b) Install shelves. Starting at the bottom and working upward, place each shelf onto the
shelf supports. (Figure 8 & 9)
Note: Some cabinets may have a wood rail which is intended to support a glass shelf.
This wood rail will have a no-slide-pad for the glass shelf to set upon. (Two shelf clips
may also be necessary.) This glass shelf is at a set height and is not adjustable. This glass
shelf could be a different size than the other shelves and is labeled accordingly. Install
this shelf per instructions.
Note: Do not put any items onto shelves until finished with this instruction guide.
7. Close and secure the door(s) using the lock or latch as provided with your cabinet.
8. Level the cabinet. Place a level alongside the cabinet from front to back and side to side
(Figure 10). On some models, there are adjustable levelers under the cabinet, that can be
turned in (up) or out (down) to make adjustments. (Figure 2) Adjust the levelers until the
cabinet is level in both directions, and is square and firm on the floor. This is the only time
a level will be used.

WARNING
- To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or
injury to persons, basic precautions should always be followed
when using electrical furnishings, including the following:
a) Unplug from outlet before cleaning or pulling on parts or
taking off parts.
b) Close supervision is required when this furnishings is used by
or near children, handicapped or disabled persons.
c) Use this furnishing only for its intended use as described in its
instructions. Do not use attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer.
d) Never operate this furnishing if it has a damaged cord or
plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or
damaged, or dropped into water. Return the furnishing to a
service center for examination and repair.
e) Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
f) Never operate the furnishing with the air openings blocked.
Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
g) Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
h) Do not use outdoors.
i) Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being
used or where oxygen is being administered.
j) To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then
remove plug from outlet.
k) For grounded products - connect this furnishing to a prop-
erly grounded outlet only.
l) For loading - always put heavier items at the bottom and not
near the top in order to help prevent the possibility of the
furnishing tipping over.
WARNING
- Risk of injury to Persons - do not use this furnishing to
support video equipment such as televisions or computer monitors.
