PL1200 Thermal Transfer Printer
Introduction
The third sensor is the ‘thermal transfer ribbon low’. It is located to the left above the thermal
tape stock mandrel as shown in diagram 2.8c. When the thermal transfer stock reel becomes
low the condition is detected by this sensor. Once detected the yellow error light on the switch
bank illuminates alerting the operator that the stock reel may be low.
The fourth sensor is the ‘label tape low’ sensor and is located below the label stock mandrel as
shown in diagram 2.8c. When the label tape stock reel becomes low, this condition is detected
by this sensor. Once detected, the yellow error light on the switch bank will illuminate alerting
the operator that the label tape stock reel maybe low. Please note that when a label tape low
condition is encountered, the labeling unit can dispense 500 or more labels depending on the
label size being used, so a low condition detection is not indicative of an empty label tape reel.
