Modem Setup
1.
Navigate to the “Modem Setup”
tab under “Network/Modem Setup”.

Select the “Edit Modem Config” radio button. Y
ou can now select modem mode
and enter the APN for your SIM card. The available modes are:
Off:
The modem remains powered off.
Listen:
The modem remains powered on actively waiting for incoming
connections
on the port specified in “Network Setup”. This mode requires a
SIM card with a known public static IP address as you will be connecting
directly to the Armadillo from the Windows program or Android app over the
internet. Setup this connection in “Setup Remote Radars” in the provided
Windows software.
Call Server:
The modem will be powered on based on the call interval
specified in “Network Setup”, and will initiate a connection to the
address set
by
“
Callout Server IP
”
in “Network Setup”.
Your SIM card may use a private
dynamic IP address in this mode. This is the most common type of SIM card.
Modem Diags:
This mode can be used to send AT commands to the modem
for special setups or troubleshooting. After selecting this mode, commands
can be issued and responses viewed in the “Modem AT
Commands/Diagnostics” section.
