Instructions and Advice for Sinking HotSpot Spas into Gardens & Decks
If you intend to sink your spa please read the following carefully.
This information applies to all HotSpot models.
Dig the hole and lay a 5" (13cm) reinforced concrete base with a slight slope dropping towards
the hatch end of 1 inch over 10ft to the surface and a soak away at the removable hatch end. It is
essential that the soak away is sufficient to ensure your pit cannot become waterlogged and that
it is accessible to ensure it can be kept free of debris. It maybe advisable to install a submersible
pump with a float switch as a secondary defence against your pit flooding. Your warranty will not
cover flooded electrical components.
All HotSpot spas can be sunk to be flush fit - the decking can go just under the shell lip. N.B.
arrangements must be made for a removable section of the decking to allow access to the
equipment compartments and panels.
When sinking the
Sorrento Spa
access is also required to the side panels to the right of the
equipment compartment.
Please ensure the electrical requirements meet those shown in the Pre-Delivery Instructions you
were given at the time of purchase. All electrical fittings must be accessible at the removable
hatch end of the pit.
Always consult a builder or contractor for professional advice.
If you have any questions or queries regarding sinking your spa please contact your sales person
or our installation department.
