Machine Check List:
Seed Meter checks :
1. Inspect each seed meter housing and components for
damage and wear.
2. Clean seed meter housings.
SOD System checks
:
1. Inspect tank lid seals and door latches for condition and
adjustment.
2. Inspect SOD manifolds for damage.
3. Inspect SOD manifold doors, slides, and slide plugs for
condition and leaks.
4. Check SOD system for leaks above manifolds.
5. Inspect seed hoses for damage and condition.
6. Inspect meter inlets for plugged holes and or damage.
7. Inspect fan for proper operation and leaks.
8. Clean SOD system.
Row Unit, toolbar, Cart checks
:
1. Torque row unit mount bolts.
2. Check mount plate for cracks or damage.
3. Check parallel arm hardware.
4. Inspect gauge wheels for wear and damage including
bearings, re shim gauge wheels.
5. Inspect opener discs for wear and damage including
bearings, re shim opener discs
6. Inspect opener disc scrapers both inner and outer for wear
and damage.
7. Inspect seed delivery tubes for wear and damage.
8. Clean seed delivery tubes and sensors with dish soap and
water and rinse out.
9. Inspect firming wheels/ firmer for wear and damage.
10. Inspect closing wheels for wear and damage including
bearings.
11. Inspect closing system down pressure springs.
12. Inspect toolbar for cracks or damage.
13. Remove toolbar end covers and clean inside of toolbar.
14. Inspect cart frame for cracks or damage.
15. Re-torque cart and wing gauge wheel hardware.
16. Check cart and wing gauge wheel bearings.
17. Inspect hitch and safety chain for wear and damage.
18. Inspect hydraulic system for leaks.
19. Grease all lube points.
