  Charging of the built-in battery

Open the lamp, take out charge adapter and close lamp again.

Caution:

make sure to open the lamp carefully as the upper part and the rechargeable battery are cable-connected.

Connect the charging adapter with the socket at lamp‘s back and 230V mains. Proper charge function is indicated

by a red indicator LED at lamp‘s upper part. As soon as the battery is fully charged the LED will light up green.

In case the battery is nearly discharged due to extended operation times, the initial charging process will be exe-

cuted with lower power. During the period of charging with lower power, the red LED will not light up until normal

charging process is achieved. Charging is unlimited (overcharging protection). After charging return charge adapter

into the lamp.

CAUTION:

Before first use, the rechargeable battery has to be connected to the electronics and charged for at least 14 hours!

In order to do so, open the housing and connect the two wires according to the corresponding colour with the

rechargeable battery.

Left idle for a period longer than 2 months, or if being restored, the battery has to be disconnected from the

electronic.

Euro-Blitz is equipped with a deep-discharge protection, switching the lamp off automatically in case of discharged

battery. Please take notice of the maximum operation hours which can be reached with one charge.

NOTE:

Rechargeable batteries are subject to a technologically caused self-discharge process (chemical process).  Due to

this process, also fully charged batteries will discharge slowly even when not being used and may get permanently

damaged.

Therefore please keep to the following instructions:

- left idle, batteries

need to be recharged regularly

 after a period of approx.

2 months,

-  in case the device was deactivated due to deep discharge protection,

switch off

the device

with the ON/OFF switch,

- in case the device was switched off due to deep discharge protection, the battery has to be

 recharged com-

pletely

before storing the device (regardless whether the device is switched ON or OFF),
