Thermostat is in compliance with the essential
requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive
1999/5/EC.
EMC compliance considerations
Refer to Code of Practice standards EN61000 for
guidance.
Caution:
Isolate power supply and make safe
before wiring the unit to prevent electric shock
and equipment damage. Installation should be
carried out by a competent person.
Location of device
The Voice Controlled Thermostat should be installed in
an open space with a good Wi-Fi signal for best
performance as it is a radio frequency device. Leave at
least 30cm distance from any metal objects and at
least 1 metre from any other electrical equipment eg.
radio, TV, PC etc. Avoid mounting onto metal wall
boxes where possible.
It is recommended testing the Wi-Fi single strength
of your chosen location is tested with a smartphone,
tablet or other Wi-Fi-enabed device before installation.
If an appropriate location with enough signal cannot be
found then a Wi-Fi range extender may be required.
For the best temperature control performance
the Voice Controlled Thermostat should not be
placed near heat or cool sources (e.g. cooker,
lamp, radiator, doorways, windows).
