TROUBLESHOOTING

IF. . .

THEN. . .

Heating will not come on.

1. Check:

That switch on thermostat is set to HEAT.

The system fuse or circuit breaker and replace or reset if necessary.

For correct wiring and good connections.

That temperature setting is higher than current room temperature.

2. System has a built-in time delay on heating. Allow five to ten minutes for the

furnace to heat up and the fan to come on before checking for heat at the
register.

3. If heat still does not come on, check EM. HEAT indicator.

If fault indicator is connected to terminal L, and the EM. HEAT indicator is
on, contact the Original Equipment Manufacturer or your HVAC dealer.

If EM. HEAT indicator is off, contact Honeywell Customer Assistance at
1-800-468-1502.

Cooling will not come on.

1. Check:

That switch on thermostat is set to COOL.

The system fuse or circuit breaker and replace or reset if necessary.

For correct wiring and good connections.

That temperature setting is lower than current room temperature.

2. System has a built-in time delay on cooling.  Allow five to ten minutes after

changing the setting before the air conditioner starts.

3. If cooling still does not come on, check EM. HEAT indicator.

If EM. HEAT indicator is on, move system switch from COOL to OFF.
After ten minutes, return the switch to the COOL position.  If the air
conditioner comes on, compressor could have reached its high limit
temperature protection and shut down.

If cooling still does not start, and the fault indicator is connected to
terminal  L, and the EM. HEAT indicator is on, contact the Original
Equipment Manufacturer or your HVAC dealer.

If the EM. HEAT indicator is off, contact Honeywell Customer Assistance
at 1-800-468-1502.

operation.

Be aware that it is normal for the current setting and display temperature
to differ on occasion.

During recovery from setback or setup, setting and display temperatures
can differ for up to 30 minutes after recovery period.
