2. Use the following table to set the text insertion port.

Use the Text Setup screen to configure text insertion parameters; that is, how and where
text is displayed on the screen.

2. Use the following table to specify the text insertion parameters.
Field Description
Enable Enable this box so that the system accepts information from this port.
Baud Rate Options are:
300 , 1200 , 2400 , 4800 , 9600 , 19200 (default)
Stop Bits Set the appropriate number of stop bits.
Data Bits Set the appropriate number of data bits.
Parity Set the desired parity.
Flow Control Options are:
None , Hardware (default), XON/XOFF
Field Description
Num Lines The number of lines (up to 10) that can be displayed on the screen at one time.
Line Length The line length (20 to 40 characters).
Scroll Indicates how quickly the lines will scroll by (1 to 10 seconds) if no new text is
entered. While text is being entered, it will scroll by at the same rate as it is being
entered.
Position Position of the text to display on the screen. Options are:
Center
Lower left
Upper left
Lower right
Upper right
