Entertainment System
The Honeywell Home Automation Server is designed to integrate all the
entertainment systems on the premises. This is achieved using the existing
entertainment electronics in the residence and Honeywell special hardware and a
hardware package such as Digital Deck which is used here as an example system.
The solution is Ethernet ready; the connection between the Honeywell server and
the eDecks is accomplished through a home intranet. The audio/video transported
from eDecks to server and vice-versa to establish a virtual device pool. This makes
all entertainment systems accessible through a single point of control.
