SERVICE CHECKS
By simply following the check list below, some problems may be remedied without the
need to call your service dealer.
WARNING: Never attempt to open the main casing. This is designed to be
removed by a qualified installer or service technician only!
What do I do if the air cleaner fan does not run?
All Models:
.... check the selector switch
is in the correct position.
.... check that the carbon filter is in place. The air cleaner will not operate if this filter is
removed.
.... check the access cover is firmly closed. If the cover is not closed properly, a safety
switch keeps the air cleaner from operating.
Models with remote control:
.... check the selector switch is in the REMOTE position.
.... try replacing the batteries in the handset
; three alkaline type AAA. Duracell
MN2400 are recommended.
RESPECT YOUR ENVIRONMENT! Take care to dispose of used batteries carefully.
If your air cleaner still does not work properly consult your installer or service dealer.
What if the air cleaner arcs (cracks) too frequently?
Switch off the air cleaner and...
.... check the cell
for broken ioniser wires or bent collector plates.
.... ensure that the cell is clean and dry. Follow the instructions on page 3.
.... ensure no foreign bodies such as human hair, carpet fibre, etc. are trapped in the
cell.
If arcing persists consult your installer or service dealer.
