DG Drift Adjustment

When the DG is manually set to a compass heading, it may drift

off the set heading, just like all other unslaved gyros. The drift
adjustment allows for removal of the DG drift rate. Rotate the knob

clockwise or counter-clockwise to correspond with the desired drift
removal. The values are arbitrary and do not correspond to a certain
degrees per second value. Figure 5.1.2a shows the DG DRIFT

adjustment screen.

Once the DG drift has been removed to satisfaction, toggle the

joystick to the right to advance to the next setup screen or click the
knob in to exit the setup menus.
