OPENING YOUR SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME
TO OPEN THE SAFE
Familiarize yourself with your key and lock. Note the notch on the
head of the key and the small dot on the lock.
1.
Insert the key into the lock, aligning the notch on the key with the dot
on the lock.
2.
Turn the key one- quarter turn to the right. Do not force the key, or it
could break.
3.
Grab the lever handle and move it to the left. Then pull the door
open.
Note: Key will not turn if the lever handle is in the open position. Forcing
the key to turn
With the handle in this position may damage the key.
TO CLOSE THE SAFE
1.
Make sure the lock bolts are in the unlocked position
2.
Close the door and hold it in the closed position.
3.
Rotate handle counterclockwise to engage the bolts and lock safe.
4.
Turn the key one-quarter turn to the left. Do not force the key, or it
could break.
5.
Remove the key and store it in a secure place away from the safe.
