The battery gives off explosive hydrogen
gas during normal operation.
A spark or flame can cause the battery to
explode with enough force to kill or
seriously hurt you.
Wear protective clothing and a face shield,
or have a skilled mechanic do the battery
maintenance.

Storing Your Honda
Tips
Pour a tablespoon (15 20 cc) of clean engine oil into the cylinder
and cover the spark plug hole with a piece of cloth.
With the engine stop switch in the OFF ( ) position, press the
start button several times to crank the engine and distribute the oil.
With the engine stop switch in the OFF ( ) position, depress the
kickstarter several times to crank the engine and distribute the oil.
Reinstall the spark plug and spark plug cap.
Remove the battery and charge it fully. Store it in an area protected
from freezing temperatures and direct sunlight. Slow charge the
battery (page
) once a month.
Lubricate the drive chain (page ).
Wash and dry your ATV. Wax all painted surfaces. 9.
