Inspecting the Drive Chain Slack

Move the drive chain up and down with
your finger.

Do not ride your vehicle if the slack
exceeds 50 mm (2.0 in).
5.
Rotate the rear wheel and check that the
chain moves smoothly.
6.
Remove the chain covers by removing the
bolts.
7.
Inspect the sprockets.

Clean and lubricate the drive chain.

Install the parts in the reverse order of
removal.
10.
Tighten the bolts.
Drive chain slack:
25 - 35 mm (1.0 - 1.4 in)
Torque:
7 N·m (0.7 kgf·m, 5.2 lbf·ft)
