MUFFLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Remove the muffler protector (page 5-2).

The muffler becomes very hot during operation and

remains hot for a while after stopping the engine.

Be careful not to touch the muffler while it is hot.

Allow it to cool before proceeding.

MUFFLER GASKET

BOLT (6 x 45 mm)

INSTALLATION:
Remove the carbon deposits by lightly tapping the outer
flange with a plastic hammer before installation.
Be careful not the damage the muffler seal part [1].
If the muffler seal part is damaged, replace the muffler.
Check the exhaust manifold mating surface [2].
