AIR CLEANER SERVICE
1. Remove the maintenance cover (P. 4).
2. Press the latch tab on the top of the air cleaner case, and remove the air
cleaner cover.
3. Remove the air cleaner element.

4. Wash the air cleaner element in a solution of household detergent and
warm water, then rise thoroughly. Or wash in non ammable or high
ashpoint solvent.
Allow the air cleaner element to dry thoroughly.
5. Soak the air cleaner element in clean engine oil and squeeze out excess
oil.
The engine will smoke during initial startup if too much oil is left in the air
cleaner element.

6. Install the air cleaner element.
7. Install the air cleaner cover by inserting the lower tab and the latch tab.
8. Install the maintenance cover.
