OPERATION
TRANSOM ANGLE
ADJUSTMENT
The transom angle adjusting rod is
used to adjust the angle of the
outboard motor in the normal
1. To adjust, first tilt the outboard
motor so it is not resting on the rod.
2. Push the rod in and turn the end of
the rod up, so the latch will fall into
line with the rod.
3. Remove the rod and reinsert it in
the desired position.
4. Push the rod in and turn the end of
the rod down, so the latch will fall
to the locked position. Then release
the rod.
PRIMING THE
CARBURETOR WITH
GASOLINE (When using the
internal fuel tank)
When starting the engine for the first
time, or when starting the engine after
the carburetor has been drained, the
carburetor must be primed with
gasoline before the engine will start.
To prime the carburetor, remove the
emergency stop switch clip from the
outboard motor, and then pull the
starter grip about 10 times.
If you do not fill fuel to the upper
level of the internal fuel tank, fuel
loading to the carburetor may be
insufficient.
