15. Connect the hood opener cable to the new hood
switch, and position the new hood switch on the
center support at the position you marked in
step 13. Loosely install the three bolts. Shut the
hood, and check that the alignment of the new
hood lock and the hood latch is correct, and
check that the hood is latched securely. When
you’re satisfied with the results, open the hood,
and tighten the hood latch bolts securely.
16. Route the connector end of the hood switch
harness alongside the vehicle harness and under
the windshield wiper fluid bracket toward the
center support on the inside of the left fender and
front bulkhead.
17. Plug the 2-pin hood switch harness connector into
the hood switch 2-pin connector. Push the clip on
the 2-pin connector into the hole in the center stay.
Push the clip on the hood switch into the center
support hole.

14. Remove the hood lock (three bolts, and disconnect
the hood opener cable). Set the hood lock aside; it
will not be reused.
