TAPE CONTROL PANEL

37. CASSETTE DOOR 

The CDJ-1 is fitted with an acrylic cassette door. Care should be taken 

not to exert excessive force on this door which may cause it to snap, or 

damage the hinge mechanism.

38. REC 

It is possible to record CD, Tuner or AUX sources. Press the record button 

together with the play button (39) to activate this function. The record level 

will be altered by the movement of the channel faders (27,30) and also by 

the master volume (22).

39. PLAY 

Press this button to play the tape cassette. 

40. REW 

This button will allow the fast rewind of the cassette. Press stop prior to 

activation of this rewind key.

41. FWD 

This button will allow the fast forward winding of the cassette. Press stop 

prior to activation of this fast forward key.

42. STOP/EJ 

In tape “playing mode”, press to stop tape playback. In tape “stop” mode, 

press to open the cassette door. 

43. PAUSE 

Press this button to pause tape playback. Do not use the pause key for 

long periods of time as tape stretching may occur. 

44. TAPE PITCH 

The CDJ-1 allow +/-5% pitch adjustment fo the tape running speed. Turn 

the tape pitch button clockwise to increase the speed, or anticlockwise to 

decrease it.
