7 Synchronization
To conserve the batteries, the valve drive is not
permanently set to receiving. Room thermostat and
valve drive establish a radio connection in defined
time intervals. This requires that both devices are
synchronized with one another. A correct synchro-
nization of the valve drive and the room thermostat
is indicated by the antenna symbol in the display of
the valve drive. A disrupted radio connection is indi-
cated by a flashing antenna symbol on the display.
If the radio connection between the valve drive and
the room thermostat is disrupted for a longer period
of time or if a device no longer sends because
the batteries are low, the valve drive attempts to
perform another synchronization once per hour. The
device is set to continuous reception for a maximum
of 184 seconds. In this case, the valve drive moves
to the stored fault position for the valve (factory
setting 15%). You can change the fault position after
teaching at any time on a room thermostat.
