Troubleshooting
The burner will not
light using the igniter.
The LP gas tank valve is closed.
The LP gas tank is low or empty.
The LP gas leaks.
The battery needs to be changed.
The electrode and burners are wet.
The electrode is cracke
d
or
broken — sparks at crack.
Wire loose or disconnected.
Wire is shorting (sparking)
between igniter and electrode.
The igniter is bad.
Make sure that the regulator is securely attached to the
LP gas tank per the "Installing the Gas Tank" section. Then
turn the LP gas tank valve to "OPEN."
Exchange, refill or replace LP gas tank.
1. Turn LP gas tank valve to “CLOSED”.
2. Wait 5 minutes for gas to clear.
3. Follow “Checking for Leaks” section.
Replace the “AAA” battery
(follow assembly step for inserting battery).
Wipe the electrode and burners dry with a cloth.

There is an LP gas leak.
1. Turn LP gas tank valve to “CLOSED”.
2. Wait 5 minutes for gas to clear.
3. Follow “Checking for Leaks” section.
There is no gas flow.
The coupling nut and regulator are
not fully connected.
There is an obstruction of the gas flow.
1. Clear the burner/venturi tube.
2. Check for bent or kinked hose.
Turn the coupling nut about one-half to three-quarters
additional turn until solid stop. Tighten by hand only —
do NOT use tools.
The burner to valve is disengaged.
Re-engage the burner and valve.
Spider webs or insect nest
are in the burner/venturi tube.
Clean the burner/venturi tube.
The burner ports clogged
or blocked.
Clean the burner ports.
The LP gas tank is low or empty.
Exchange, refill or replace LP gas tank.
Check to see if the LP gas tank is empty. If the tank is empty,
reduced" below.
