One the temperature has been constant within 0.1°C for 4
seconds the thermometer will beep four times.

Remove the thermometer and record the reading.
IN THE RECTUM (RECTAL)
Placing the thermometer in the rectal canal is the most accurate method from
a medical point of view. This reading does not fluctuate between readings.
1.
Place the thermometer tip very carefully about 2 cm into the
rectum. (2cm is twice the length of the silver probe)

Press the power button once and let it go to begin the reading.
(approximately reading time is between 9 and 11 seconds)

Contraindications
Do not use the thermometer if the area is infected or lacerated.
CARE AND CLEANING
Use an alcohol swab or cotton swab
moistened with 70% alcohol to clean the
thermometer body and the measuring
probe. Wait until after the alcohol has
completely dried out before you can take
a new measurement.
Ensure that no liquid enters the interior of the thermometer. Never use abrasive
cleaning agents, thinners or benzene for cleaning and never immerse the
instrument in water or other cleaning liquids.
