Pilot will not light
Gas valve may be OFF
Turn the gas valve ON
Fuel tank is empty
Refill LPG cylinder
Orifice blocked
Clean or replace orifice
Air in supply system
Purge air from lines
Loose connection
Check all fittings
Pilot will not stay on
Debris around pilot
Clean dirty area
Loose connection
Tighten connections
Thermocouple bad
Replace thermocouple
Gas leak in line
Check connections using leak test
Lack of fuel pressure
Fuel tank Is near empty. Refill.
Burner will not light
Pressure is low
Fuel tank is near empty
Orifice blocked
Remove, clean and replace
Control Valve not ON
Turn valve ON
Thermocouple bad
Replace thermocouple
Pilot light assembly bent or not in
correct location
Place pilot light in correct position and
retry
Burner flame is low
Supply hose is bent or twisted
Straiten hose and perform leak test on
hose
Burner flame goes off immediately
after ignition
Low gas pressure
Let the pilot flame stay light for 10
minutes before setting variable knob
to LO
Thick black smoke
Blockage in burner
Turn off the heater and let it cool.
Remove blockage and clear burner
inside and out
Carbon build up
Dirt or film on reflector and flame
screen
Clean reflector and flame screen
