10 SAFETY
10.1 Intended Use
The USK 2900 must only be used for its intended purpose! Any other use is deemed to be a case
of misuse. To use the machine properly you must also observe and follow all safety regulations,
the assembly instructions, operating and maintenance instructions lay down in this manual.
The USK 2900 is used for:
Connecting combination of circular saws, planers, belt sanders, etc. with suction units.
Any manipulation of the machine or its parts is a misuse, in this case HOLZMANN-
Machines and its sales partners cannot be made liable for ANY direct or indirect
damage.
10.2 Security instructions
 Keep the product out of the reach of children. Store the product in a place
where it is safe from children and unauthorized persons.
 All parts of the product, in particular safety equipment, must be correctly
installed to ensure faultless operation.
 Conversions, independent modifications to the product and the use of no
approved parts are not permitted.
 The product may only be put into operation if it is in perfect condition. If
the product or part of the product is defective, have it repaired by an
expert.
 Always observe the applicable national and international safety, health
and labour regulations.
 Always make sure that the standing position is natural and secured while
working.
 During installation, make sure that the product is standing firmly.
 Do not overload the product. Use the product only for the purposes for
which it is intended.
 Persons unable to safely and carefully use the product due to a lack of
physical, psychological and neural capabilities may not use the product.
 Always work with caution and only when you are in good physical
condition: Working under the effects of fatigue, illness, alcohol,
medication and drugs is irresponsible, as you are no longer able to safely
operate the product.
 No tools, objects or cables may be left lying in the work area around the
product.
 Make sure there is sufficient lighting during operation.
 Young people under 18 years of age and users who are not sufficiently
acquainted with its operation, must not use the product.
 Keep children and other persons away when using the product.
Distractions may cause you to lose control of the product.
