in dedicated labelled bins, turned over to
hazardous waste collectors or returned to
electric equipment dealers.
Ingress protection class of the electrical
device. The marking consists of the letters
IP and two characters, the first of which
denotes protection against penetration by
solid particles, and the second, liquid ingress
protection. X — no protection level against
solids has been specified; 4 — protection
against water splashed at all angles (rain).
