Descaling
In order to remove scale deposited inside the kettle and on the heating element,
prepare a water and vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Pour the
solution into the electric kettle and heat it up, but DO NOT BOIL THE SOLUTION!
Leave the solution in the electric kettle for about 1 hour, and then pour it out,
fill the electric kettle with water up to the maximum level and boil the water.
Pour the water out and remove deposit residues with a damp cloth. If water at
your location leaves lots of scale, frequent descaling is recommended. Do not
perform descaling with the use of chemicals meant for coffee makers or irons.
Caution! The frequency of descaling depends on the quality and type of water
used. Descaling should be performed when you notice that more than ¼ of the
heating element surface is covered with scale.
