Feed the cables for the new battery into the sensor rod 
until they come out at the other end. Use needle-nose 
plyers if necessary to gently pull the cables through the 
bottom end.

Place the new battery inside the top of the sensor rod as 
shown.

Gently push the wires inside the sensor rod so that you can 
easily reattach the sensor head.

Make sure the mark from step 3 is aligned with the north 
marking and reattach the sensor head. Tighten the three 
screws.

Connect the battery and insert the battery cables into the 
bottom end of the sensor rod. Reinsert the cap at the end 
of the rod. See

Redeploy the sensor. 

 

WARNING:

 Do not cut open, incinerate, heat above 85°C 

(185°F), or recharge the battery. The battery may explode if the 
logger is exposed to extreme heat or conditions that could 
damage or destroy the battery case. Do not dispose of the 
logger or battery in fire. Do not expose the contents of the 
battery to water. Dispose of the battery according to local 
regulations for lithium batteries.
