Congratulations, you now own the world’s most versatile RF module on the
planet! The Spectra 75 gives you the freedom to access all 30 channels on
the 75MHz band by simply dialing channel 61 through 90 on the Spectra 75
transmitter module and installing the matching crystal in your receiver.
To install the Spectra 75 into your Lynx 3D, make sure the power switch is in the
“Off” position. Remove the single frequency RF module by pressing the top and
bottom tabs then gently pull the module out of the socket. On the side of the
Spectra 75, you will find two rotary dials marked 1
st
digit and 2
nd
digit. With the
supplied plastic screwdriver, carefully turn the slots in each dial corresponding to
the channel number you wish to transmit on. (Caution: do not push down dials
as this may cause damage to the unit.) Next, change the receiver crystal to
match the channel you have selected. (Note: you must us a genuine Hitec
crystal in any manufacturer’s receiver to work with the Lynx 3D and Spectra 75.)
Next, plug the Spectra 75 in place of the old module. Place it all the way in until
you hear it “Click” to ensure all contacts are in place.
To make sure everything is working properly it is advised that you perform a
range test. With the transmitter antenna down you should get a minimum of 35ft.
before the servos start to jitter. (Caution: when performing a range test make
sure your vehicle is secure or remove the pinion gear to prevent it from running
away if the signal is lost.)
