Overview
The Hitachi Advanced Server DS7000 seriesHitachi Advanced Server DS7000
scalable servers are designed to be modular, be easy to maintain, increase
density and maximize memory capacity.
They exploit the Intel
®
C627 Chipset, Intel
®
Xeon
®
Scalable processors and
the UPI Intel protocol.
Each Hitachi Advanced Server DS7000 series module is 2U high and includes
two sockets that can support up to twelve memory modules each. It features
five PCIe slots (either five PCIex8 or two PCIex16 plus one PCIex8).
The Hitachi Advanced Server DS7000 series offers a scalable DS7020, DS7040
or DS7080 glueless multi-module server via an intermodule connecting box.
The Hitachi Advanced Server DS7080 can be upgraded to DS7160 using a
UBox, that houses the eXternal Node Controller (XNC).
The Hitachi Advanced Server DS7000 series is available in several
configurations which can be mixed inside a multi-module server:
•
Compute configuration : up to eight SAS/SATA disks
•
GPU configuration : with an add-on of up to two GPUs
•
Storage configuration : with an add-on of up to twelve 2.5” disks, four 3.5”
disks or four NVMe disks.
