Setting FFT Calculation Conditions
Averaging calculation results
The averaging is a series of processes that include repeatedly acquiring waveforms, and then
averaging them to perform calculations using the averaged waveform.
Using this function mitigates the effect of noise superimposed on waveforms and unstable factors.

Off
Does not perform any averaging.
Simple Ave
Calculates an simple average of a frequency-domain waveform to output a calculation
result.
Exp Ave
Calculates an exponential average of a frequency-domain waveform to output a
calculation result.
Freq-peak hold
Continues to display the maximum value of a frequency-domain waveforms.
See “Relationship between recording modes and averaging types” (p. 236).
